Matthew Burr has a variety of industry experience including Rail Transportation, Aviation, Foundry, Container Manufacturing, Paper Manufacturing, Healthcare, New York State Mediation, Fact-Finding and Academics.
Since officially opening his doors as a consultant to local small and medium size businesses, Burr Consulting has worked with a number of local organizations, including Kennedy Valve, Arnot Medical Services, Bombardier Transportation, Guthrie Health, Chemung ARC, Elmira College, Corning Community College, Tompkins County Community College, Cameron Manufacturing, and several others.
In his various roles over the past nine years, Matthew Burr has worked in the human resource field as an HR Intern, Physician Recruiter, HR Advisor (Generalist), HRLP Intern, HR Manager, Regional HR Manager, Interim HR Director, Teaching Assistant and Adjunct Professor. These experiences have led to his consultative approach and the development of this organization.
Matthew was recently accepted at the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University and will begin a part-time Master’s in Business Administration program in January 2016.
In February 2017, Matt published his first book on Amazon. $74,000 in 24 Months, focusing on his journey back from student loan debt. This book provides first hand experience, research and advice from Matt, who paid back the $74,000 owed from his undergraduate and graduate degrees in only 24 months.
